Elite Road Race - Epworth
120km, 5 1/2 laps of a 21km circuit at Epworth.
The course is reasonably flat with a drag through the finish area with exposed, quiet country lanes. Team Sportscover Strategic Altura are proud to promote our first open Elite road race of 2011. The event location has been amended after several attempts to use a circuit close to the clubs HQ in Knottingley using some new legislation that would allow us to use the open road in North Yorkshire.

Signing on Signing on at the HQ will open at 09.00 and close at 09.45. Any reserves must sign on prior to sign on closure and reserves will be given race numbers where applicable at this point.
The Circuit The race is held over 5 1/2 laps of a 21km circuit. Hazards: The course is a relatively safe one, but as always please do exercise caution and stick to the left hand side of the road. Neutral service will be provided by one vehicle. Any rider wishing to benefit from this service should bring spare wheels to the Sign On area by no later than 09.30. Static Feeding Feeding will be allowed on the course at a location TBC.
Cut off timing any lapped riders must withdraw from the race. Prize Presentation A presentation will take place around 20 minutes after the last rider has crossed the line. Cash prizes will be given to the first 8 places. At the time of writing the event has 34 riders.
The prize list will increase with additional riders. 1st £60 2nd £40 3rd £30 4th £25 5th £20 6th £15 7th £10 8th £10 Additional Prizes Two Hot Spot Primes will be announced during the event.
Appeals: Any competitor appealing against race officials decisions must do so in writing within 30 minutes of the decision being made. Appeals must be accompanied with a payment of £25.00 and will be fortified to original race fund if the decision is upheld.
