Cycling star Mark Beaumont has completed the Artemis World Cycle in an outstanding 79 days, one day ahead of his 80 day target. Since departing Paris on 2nd July, Beaumont smashed the previous world record of 123 days set by Andrew Nicholson, by cycling 18,000 miles across the globe visiting Russia, Mongolia, China, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA and a host of countries in Europe.
Beaumont has been supported on the Artemis World Cycle by Altura, who provided custom clothing and accessories. Mark has ridden Altura Dry™ products to stay cool in hot conditions, Altura Thermo™ products which offer insulation and warmth in cooler climates and Altura Shield™ garments to provide protection from whatever the elements threw at him. When combined with an extensive range of accessories including arm warmers, neck warmers and gloves, Mark was able to optimise his core body temperature no matter the weather.
