Progel Plus Men's Cycling Bib Tights

These are a medium size and they fit quite tight on me but they’re extremely comfortable once they’re on.
The insert is good and the first ride in them, straight out of the bag, was great .

I think I must be between sizes on the Altria scale and could possibly go with medium or large sizes for either a tight or a comfort fit respectively.
Better stay off the pies!!

If it helps I’m 5’11”, 80 kg 33” waist and 31”inside leg .
For bibs I prefer a looser fit for the straps (long body- short legs !) and these are spot on.
Great quality and great value too. Would definitely recommend.

Why on earth doesn't the pad come up higher at the front. Not a good look and hit uncomfortable. Otherwise we'll made.

Im not sure that the sizing is correct.

Really comfortable, ideal for Spring days

As the temperature as dropped I was looking for some reasonably priced tights that had reflective elements that I could wear bib shorts over and for daily commuting. These fit the bill perfectly. I was unsure whether not having stirrups would work, but the grippy detail around the ankle does the job. Would definitely be happy to recommend.

Bought in Dec ‘24 for those chilly winter days. 1st ride out was about 3 hours in the Surrey hills. Temp approx 9C. I’m 6’2, 95kg, and about a 36/38’ waist. Been riding for 30+ years.

Good:
Look and feel of the tights are great. Lower leg grippers work well and don’t allow the tights to ride up. The shoulder straps are soft and comfortable. Water repellency is superb, and I was warm the whole ride.

Bad:
This isn’t just an Altura problem, but an industry problem.

The pad is not a great fit. It needs to be extended anterior and posterior by 4 inches in total. And 2 inches in width.

Anterior: to accommodate the twig for some modesty.
Posterior: for a better seat and sacrum comfort.
Perineum: because your testicles don’t sit right and get squeezed between your saddle and leg (flipping up and to the front doesn’t work- the natural movement of your body and gravity moves the tackle back into a natural setting, especially when climbing out of the saddle).

Overall:
The idea is good, the pad has significant ‘gel’ padding, the tight material and fit are good.

The pad fit and execution let’s you down.

Bought these for the colder weather so haven’t done more than try them on . Fit and finish feel top notch . Like most longs I often feel they need pockets down the leg .

These are now my go to bib tights for winter riding. Ridden in -2C without problems and the gel pad is super comfortable. Reflective detailing is very effective. Another great Altura product for UK conditions.

Bought as Christmas present for my husband who is thrilled with these. Keeps him warm. The padding is super comfortable.

Not for the coldest days but great for mild winter days

Only used these a few times but so far they've kept me warm and are really comfortable, my longest ride in them has been 5 hours in the saddle so I'm happy with that. Would be nice to have some pockets like cargo bibs then then I knew these didn't have any when I bought them so that's on me (all my other bibs are short leg cargo bibs, these are my first long leg pair). Overall, for the price I'm really happy with them.

Very basic bib tights, they do the job but the material is like normal leggings and the pad doesn’t seem that good, I know these are more entry level but I’m glad I got them on sale because if I’d paid £80 I’d be very disappointed.

Although material appears quite thin I gind these great for around 10 degrees ish.pad is excellent. Size small 170cm 64kg rider

Good quality.

After 2 rides totalling 110 miles, they have 'bobbled' on the inner thighs.
The pad is nice and wide but its just not long enough to cover all the 'vital' area's.
Reflective decals on the top of thigh have started to peel also.

Not impressed really. Prefer the Endura's I have.

Perfect for autumn but might be a little thin if you feel the cold in the winter. Very comfortable straps and a good pad, value for money is fantastic at the sale price.

Top quality product. Fits well and I went up a size. Used a few times now in cold morning comutes keep me warm and dry.
