Description

The Altura Progel Plus Men's Cycling Waist Shorts provide a great option when looking for a more relaxed feel when cycling. Can be worn under shorts or trousers without the need for bibs.

Our re-engineered 3D Progel Plus pad uses Italian materials and an innovative moulded design for comfort on all rides, while dual density foam and rooted gel help the pad retain its anatomical shape ride after ride.

High wicking fabric helps to keep you dry and a soft feel rear waistband improves comfort on the bike whilst helping to prevent chafing. We have also added a hidden coin pocket to carry loose change for the café stop and reflective details to help you to stay visible to others in low light conditions.

Untimely fault!

I haven’t been riding for a while and had these shorts sitting in a cupboard. So - very light use only. You can imagine my surprise just now when back from my first ride in ages to discover the crotch stitching had parted. I wondered why they felt breezy and light to wear!! I’d send a photo except I’d probably get banned for it…

Altura comes up too Small

These new Progel shorts come a little too tight. Previous small progel shorts were much more comfortable but unfortunately after 10 years padding and gel disintegrated so had to replace them with these. It sure these are built to last though.

Comfortable for me

Shorts, like saddles, are very different from person to person. For me, these shorts are the most comfortable I have tried (and I've tried a lot!) The pad is quite wide, which is why I think these are good for me, so if you have/need a wide saddle, they may well be good for you as well. I think the price is pretty good for cycle clothing as well. I have 3 pairs of these now and my first pair has lasted

Super shorts!

Bought for husband, mainly for the progel padding as he’s struggling to find shorts which are comfortable for a long ride. These are great & he says they “protect the parts that they’re supposed to”!

Progel plus mens shorts

Nice quality shorts with comfortable pad.
Only two things are required to improve these.
1. The leg length is short, another 20-30mm would be nice.
2. The elastic silicone leg grippers are only at the back of the leg and not the front. All round would be nice.
